Blueberry, bilberry, whortleberry (Vaccinium myrtillus)

Blueberry is the other significant industrially used berry although it competes with cultivated highbush blueberries (Vaccinium corymbosum cultivars) on the market. Even if the flavour of wild blueberry is rich and delicious it looses on the price to the cultivars.

Blueberry grows on fresh forest soil, shores, pine swamps, and mountains.

Blueberry contains a lot of flavonoids that has positive influence on human health.
